Peugeot e208: Το πρώτο εταιρικό ηλεκτρικό όχημα του Ομίλου Χ.Α.ΠΑΠΑΕΛΛΗΝΑΣ

C.A.PAPAELLINAS Group has placed the goal of sustainable development at the centre of all its business activities. The only way to achieve this is by identifying our business goals with the prosperity of our people, the protection of the environment, and the growth of our customers, our associates, and the society at large.

The protection of the natural environment is a central and ongoing priority for our Group. Βy implementing initiatives beyond those provided by Cypriot and EU legislation, the Group undertakes targeted actions to minimize its environmental footprint.

Within the context of the integration of sustainable mobility, the gradual replacement of the vehicle fleet, as well as the reduction of our Group’s environmental footprint, we proceeded with the acquisition of our very first corporate electric vehicle.

The electric car that has been added to the C.A.PAPAELLINAS Group’s vehicle fleet is the Peugeot e208.

About the Peugeot e208:

Peugeot e208 is a small to medium-sized electric city car manufactured in France. Its electric motor produces 136hp and 260Nm of torque, with a top speed of 150km/h.

With an autonomy of 300+km, this Peugeot model reduces the need for frequent charging, while its 100% electric driving ensures a serene driving experience. The use of LED lights contributes to further energy savings.

Its 50kWh battery capacity, as well as its complete energy autonomy, ensure the reduced environmental impact of the vehicle’s operation.

The new adjustment of the centre of gravity in Peugeot e208 locates the battery’s extra weight under the floor, contributing to the vehicle’s overall road performance.

Our Group’s Sustainability Manager, Savvas Hadjiyiangou, tells us about the Group’s investment in the first corporate electric vehicle

“C.A.PAPAELLINAS Group, following the dictates of modern times towards a more sustainable society, has proceeded with the addition of its first electric corporate vehicle to its fleet.

This acquisition falls within the framework of the Group’s vehicle replacement policy aiming to reduce our environmental footprint and to increase our energy independence, since this vehicle, as well as the subsequent electric vehicles that will form our fleet, will be charged at our facilities with an energy mix of over 60% from Renewable Energy Sources. Needless to say, our efforts for a greener supply chain do not end here.

At the same time, we examine the use of even more environmentally friendly technologies such as the Hydrogen technology which can be applied to the Group’s heavy-duty vehicles (over 3.5 tons).

The C.A.PAPAELLINAS Group has incorporated continuous improvement in its business model so as to become a sustainable business. It seeks to gradually renew its vehicle fleet by integrating sustainable mobility into its operation and phasing out diesel saloon vehicles.”
