Joy, smiles, and countless moments of emotion were brought forth during the interaction between members of our company’s basketball team and Christou Steliou Ioannou Foundation team. The two teams competed together for 40 minutes, enjoying the opportunity presented to them, and receiving applause from those in attendance who watched the match.
Soon, the Foundation team will embark on a journey to Berlin, where the Special Olympics World Games will take place. This trip and participation are eagerly anticipated by the children of the Foundation, filled with excitement.
At the end of the game, medals were awarded to all participants by Eleni Rossi, Director of Special Olympics, and Clea Hadjistefanou Papaelleana, Commissioner of the Cyprus Olympic Committee.
The presence of Maria Vassiliadou, President of the Cyprus Special Olympics Federation, was also felt at the Neapoli-Epistrophi Stadium, where the encounter between the two teams took place. Additionally, in attendance were Christos Papaelleanas, CEO of our Group, Andreas Theodorou, Director of Christou Steliou Ioannou Foundation, and Rois Christodoulidis, President of the Foundation’s Parent Association, along with other members of the Board of Directors.
