Sending out a message to «Make a difference! Love the planet», Holland & Barrett Cyprus organised a tree planting event, on Saturday November 23, at a public green space in the Latsia area.
Over 40 volunteer employees from the C.A.Papaellinas group, to whom the Holland & Barrett Cyprus chain of stores belongs, as well as volunteers from the Latsia community, joined forces with the Municipality in an endeavour focused on the environment. Forty trees – including cashew trees, sterculia, bottlebrushes and mastic trees – now breathe life into the area while accentuating its beauty.
With this initiative, Holland & Barrett Cyprus contributed to the creation of a new green space for the general public, strengthening its social and environmental impact. The marketing Manager of Holland & Barrett Cyprus stores highlighted the importance of activities aimed at the protection of natural habitats, which promote sustainable development, noting: “The protection of the environment is a top priority for the C.A.Papaellinas Group. We focus on a series of activities aiming to positively contribute to the local communities in which we operate.”
Environmental responsibility forms a cornerstone of the Holland & Barrett Cyprus philosophy, and a fundamental part of its culture. As such, the chain of 13 stores across Cyprus has replaced plastic bags, as well as other containers, with materials that are environmentally friendly. Simultaneously, it implements an energy-saving programme and stocks a wide array of environmentally friendly products.
