Human Resources

Papaellinas currently employs 320 people who are allocated within the various departments of the company.

Papaellinas is considered a people oriented company. As such, human resources are the most valuable capital for the company and for this reason a great deal of resources are invested on the development and the effectiveness of the staff.

Our primary aim is the creation of a human organizational environment where we promote the continuous develpment and training of every member of our staff in order to upgrade our skills, abilities and performance.

We believe that our success is very much a result of our Human Resource Strategy. We focus on recruiting and retaining highly qualified and skilled personnel which dynamically reinforces the various departments of the company. A considerable percentage of our employees are university educated. We believe in skills and capabilities of young people and thus we recruit young graduates whom we entrust with key positions.

Training and Development

What characterizes Papaellinas is that it is a Learning Organization. Our culture is linked to continuous learning and improvement of our skills and knowledge. Through educational planning, horizontal communication and group decision making we improve the way we operate by reinforcing our ability to respond successfully to the increased challenges and the new market developments.

We organize a wide range of educational and training programs for our staff both in Cyprus and abroad on a frequent basis. Some of the seminars that we offer to our staff include product knowledge, customer service, selling skills, personal development skills like time management, emotional intelligence, negotiation skills, team building, etc.

We cooperate with professional and distinguished bodies/organizations both from Cyprus and abroad to offer trainings and seminars of the highest standard. The company also, has five trainers who train our staff mainly for the cosmetic sector. In addition, our trainers are responsible for the induction program of our newly recruited colleagues before they undertake their duties and responsibilities.

Furthermore, the company encourages its employees to learn foreign languages by covering the cost of the classes.

Once a year we conduct a Performance Appraisal process. We strongly believe in the importance of evaluation because through this process we improve our performance. In relation to this, based on the results we diagnose new training needs, we set future targets and we find ways of achieving them.
